Jessica R. Anderson, DMD

Dr. Jess R. Anderson is a proud Arkansas native, and graduate of Har-Ber High School.  She then went to Russellville, Arkansas where she graduated with a B.S. in Biology and minor in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University.  She became interested in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery when in college and decided to pursue her dental degree in Augusta at the Dental College of Georgia.  Staying true to her passion, she was honored to continue her training in Augusta, and completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. For four years, she served as her residency advocate for the Resident Organization of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Though she never expected to be in Augusta for 8 years, she was so blessed to meet her fiancé Hunter as well as some of her best friends and interdisciplinary colleagues throughout those years of intense training.  Dr. Anderson feels that developing and maintaining those connections in different fields of medicine and dentistry is a huge benefit to her patients as she can treat them holistically with more than one perspective in mind.  Dr. Anderson enjoys maintaining a broad scope practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including extractions and in office sedation, dental implants, trauma, corrective jaw surgery, and oral pathology.  She appreciates connecting and working with pediatric patients as well.   

Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Georgia Dental Association, and Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  She was awarded the Alpha Upsilon Phi Leadership, Service, and Collegiality Award in 2020, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Award in 2020, and First Place in the Southeastern Regional Dental Research Symposium in 2024.

Most recent and very impressively, Dr. Anderson won the 2024 Dr. Connie L. Drisko Dental Resident Professionalism Award. For the first time in history, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon has ever had the honor of receiving this award.   

Naturally, Dr. Anderson is a huge Razorback fan, and loves sports – especially football.  She spends most of her time outdoors- from being on the lake, hiking, and walking her dog, to simply enjoying her coffee on her back porch. She’s always down to soak up some sunshine and fresh air.  She has a Pointer Spaniel mix named Weller who loves to swim, eat vegetables, and chase her cats, Nala and Simba.  If she’s not at work or on an evening walk, she’s probably trying to catch a flight to Arkansas to hang out with her baby nephew, Coop.
