Dr. Richard “Rick” Kinsey has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Douglasville for over 30 years. During that time he has also served in many professional and local organizations. He has served as President of the Dental/Medical Staff of Wellstar Douglas Hospital, President of the Georgia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and President of the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds memberships in several other professional associations and societies.
A board certified oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, he is also a Fellow in The American Society of Dental Anesthesiology. Dr. Kinsey is a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy – an international honor. Dr. Kinsey has been an instructor in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and has served as BCLS course lecturer and co-director at many meetings/organizations in the Georgia area.
Being committed to volunteerism, he is a volunteer faculty member of the University of Alabama Birmingham Dental School. Dr. Kinsey has also volunteered his surgery skills at The Ben Massell Dental Clinic in downtown Atlanta for the past 30 years as well as being an active member of The First United Methodist Church in Douglasville.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Kinsey received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and graduated with honors from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham where he also did his oral and maxillofacial surgery training.
